Lesson 1: Planning & Keyword Research
We create a siteplan, learn what the competition is doing and create a list of keyword phrases pertaining to your business.
Lesson 2: Select Colors & Install Theme
We will select colors from your logo, and install the theme. Activating themes is covered.
Lesson 3: Writing Content
We will discuss writing content for each page of your site, how to use your keyword research and what should be included on your home page.
Lesson 4: Customizing your theme
We will add the colors you selected, your logo background color or image and customize the header and footer.

Lesson 5:
Working with Images
Learn how to search for images to add style to your site. We explain the media library, uploading, resolution and resizing your images.
Lesson 6:
Add content to your pages
We cover formatting your content, featured images, widgets and sidebars. We also cover staff pages and Contact page.
Lesson 7:
Divi Builder
An overview of Divi Builder, including Predefined Layouts and installing Layout Packs.
Lesson 8:
Product Pages
We will cover all you need to create your product or portfolio pages. We will help you think it through.
Module 3 | 4 Weeks
Lesson 9:
Working with Mailforms
We install a mailform plugin and configure it for the contact page. We also cover creating a request a quote form and adding a Google map.
Lesson 10:
Adding a Slider
We demonstrate two types of sliders and show you how to add them to your theme.
Lesson 11:
Blogging or News page
We will create a blog page or use the blog to add news to your site. We will also add your latest posts to the home page.
Lesson 12:
Footer & Widgets
We will build out your footer using widgets, add social media links, Twitter or Facebook feed, navigation, or contact info.
Bonus Lessons
Bonus 1:
SEO plugin & Overview
We will install the SEO Yoast plugin and demonstrate how to use it, create a sitemap and contact Google to submit the sitemap. Installation of Google Analytics is also included.
Bonus 2:
Email Marketing
We will review both Constant Contact and MailChimp to help you decide. You will learn how to use these services to keep in touch with your customers.
Bonus 3:
Social Sharing & Integration
We will show you various ways to connect with your social networks using plugins. Encourage your visitors to share your content or follow you.
Bonus 4:
Maintenance & Safety
You will learn how to Backup your site, automate the process and keep your site safe from Malware attacks. We will cover captcha and security plugins.
